Carved by Peter M Petrochko out of local Connecticut Ash. Ash is a hardwood with an open grain similar to Oak. Ash is often used to make items from baseball bats to furniture.
Peter shared with us that his pieces are completely carved by hand. He doesn't use machines.
Note about the finish. pieces are finished with shellac + H2O Urethane. They might be used for light food use. To clean, rinse in soapy water if necessary and hand dry. NEVER SOAK!
